Scott A. Thurman, M.D. is a Fort Worth, Texas native. He received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was tapped for membership in Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Thurman received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Dr. Thurman is a member of AOA Honor Medical Society, the American Urological Association and the American Medical Association. He has been published in the Journal of Urology and other publications, as well as having numerous professional presentations to his credit. Dr. Thurman is also fluent in Spanish as a result of his undergraduate degree and residing in Spain for six months during that time. He has a special interest in laparoscopy and robotic prostatectomy.

He and his wife, an internal medicine physician, reside in Fort Worth.
